Welcome to Augela! We value your privacy and want to be clear about how we handle your information. This policy applies to www.augela.com and the interface.augela.com web app.

1. Who we are

We are Turov s.r.o., located at Hlohová 175/8, 612 00 Brno, Czechia (ID: 25997424). In legal terms, we are the “Data Controller” of your personal data.

2. What data we collect and why

We only collect the information we actually need to give you a great experience.

  • Account Information: When you register on interface.augela.com, we collect your name, email, and password. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
  • Communications: If you leave a comment or email us, we collect that text and your contact details so we can reply.
  • Technical Data: To keep the site secure and fast, we automatically collect your IP address, browser type, and how you interact with our pages.
  • Media: If you upload images to our app, please ensure they don’t contain embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as other users may be able to see this depending on your privacy settings.

2.3. Google User, Account and Drive Data

If you choose to connect your Google account, we collect your name and email to facilitate secure login. If you connect your Google Drive, we access only the files you explicitly authorize. This data is used solely to provide context for your AI interactions (e.g., as a “Knowledge Source”).

When you connect Google Drive or Google Search Console to Augela, you choose exactly what Augela may access. For Google Drive we request only the `drive.file` permission, which gives Augela access to the specific files and folders you select in Google’s own file picker, and to files Augela creates on your behalf. Augela cannot see any other file in your Google Drive.

What we do with it

Content from the files you select is used solely to provide the features you asked for: answering your questions about those documents, keeping an index so they can be searched, and where you have enabled it, writing updates back into a spreadsheet you selected. Search Console data is used to show search performance for a property you already own.

How it is stored

Selected file content is stored on Augela’s servers as extracted text and as a mathematical index (embeddings) generated locally on our own infrastructure. It is kept separately for each customer and is never pooled across customers.

Who it is shared with

To generate answers, relevant excerpts are sent to the AI model provider serving your account. Where Augela provides the AI service, we use paid provider plans whose terms contractually prohibit using submitted content to train their models. Where you supply your own AI provider key, content is sent to your own provider account under your agreement with that provider, and you confirm at setup that your account does not use submitted data for training.

We do not

use Google user data to develop, train or improve generalised or foundational artificial-intelligence models, and we do not store it in conjunction with such models. We do not sell Google user data or share it with advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.

Who can see it inside your organisation

Augela is organised as Company → Group → Agent. A Google connection made at Company level is available to the AI agents beneath it, so colleagues who use those agents can receive answers drawn from the connected files. Connect at the level that matches who should benefit.

Removing it.

Disconnecting a connector in Augela deletes the stored content and revokes Augela’s access to your Google Account. Deleting your Augela account does the same for every connection it held. You can also revoke access at any time from your Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions).

Augela’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy (https://developers.google.com/terms/api-services-user-data-policy), including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to keep you logged in and understand how you use our site.

  • Essential: Needed for the app to function (e.g., staying logged in).
  • Analytics: We use these to see which features you love so we can improve them.
  • Management: You can change your cookie preferences at any time via our Cookie Banner or your browser settings.

4. Third parties and data sharing

We don’t sell your data. We only share it with trusted partners who help us run Augela:

  • Hosting Providers: To store your data securely.
  • Spam Detection: We may use automated services to check comments.
  • Legal Necessity: If a court or the law requires it, we may share information to comply with our legal obligations.
  • Google API Disclosure: Augela’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy , including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use data obtained through Google APIs to serve advertisements or sell it to third parties.

5. International transfers

As we serve a global audience, your data may be processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA). When this happens, we ensure “Standard Contractual Clauses” (SCCs) are in place to keep your data just as safe as it is in the EU.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Account Data: Kept as long as your account is active.
  • Comments: Kept indefinitely unless you ask us to delete them.
  • Deleted Accounts: We may keep some data longer if required for taxes or legal disputes.

7. Your rights (The “GDPR Power-ups”)

Since we are an EU company, you have the following rights:

  • Access: Ask for a copy of your data.
  • Correction: Fix anything that’s wrong.
  • Deletion: Ask us to “forget” you.
  • Portability: Ask for your data in a format you can take to another service.
  • Object: Tell us to stop using your data for certain things.

We might update this from time to time. If we make big changes, we’ll let you know via the app or email.
